Glen @ Troy

I’ve been employed at Troy since 1997. I started my career as a summer student in the fabrication shop in Beamsville and began my sprinkler fitter apprenticeship in 1997. When I started it was a small family owned business and while it was a great company to work for being a tight knit group, career advancement was fairly limited.

However, the Beamsville-based Troy business was purchased by Edwards and became part of a large National Life Safety business with 30 offices coast to coast, and the possibility for advancement suddenly became endless.

In a span of 15 years I finished my apprenticeship, became a pipefitter, held the roles of Road Superintendant, Service Supervisor, Service Manager, Beamsville Branch Manager and now I am the Beamsville/Waterloo Branch Manager!

The company name is now Troy Life & Fire Safety and we are truly an industry leader in sprinkler, fire, security, nurse call and mass notification. I believe with this company, the possibilities are endless. No matter where you live, or want to live and work, there are many opportunities available to us!
